Battalion Order 5600.1B

BnO 5600.1B signed by then LtCol Gene Bench in September 1966 made the battalion motto, “Magnificent Bastards” official.

The motto was the brainchild of then LtCol “Bull” Fisher.  I am seeking a hard copy of this order from you, the membership, to post on the web site.

I have had queries concerning the availability of the order from an author writing a book and others.  Having the order posted on our web site would make it more accessible for future Marines and interested parties.
