After talking to him on the phone, I received the below from Mike McIver, dad of 2/4 Member SSgt Ryan Michael McIver. He asked if some of the members of the Association could attend, he would greatly appreciate it. Can you get this out to the membership? The location is VFW Post 2039, 6550 Skyway, Paradise, CA.

Per our recent conversation Ryan Michael McIver passed away on October 13, 2023 in Paradise, CA. We will have a Military service for him on December 2nd, 2023 at the VFW hall beginning at noon. If you can make, it you would be very welcome. If not be there in spirit. Take care and Semper Fi.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m also very sorry I will not be able to attend your sons services. I was wondering if you have contacted the PGR ( Patriot Guard Riders up in your area ? They will do a beautiful Flag line and respect Tribute to your son.
You see I’m a Gold Star Mother, lost my son LCpl Travis Layfield, so your loss really touches my heart.
