Andy Shelton, Son Looking for 2/4 Marines Who Knew Roy Shelton

Son, Andy Shelton, is looking for anyone who may have memories of his father, Roy Shelton, see below:

My Dad was the XO from 1978-1979. His name was Roy Shelton, he passed away almost two years ago. Would like to know if anyone has memories of him.

My Dad retired as a Colonel after thirty years of being a Marine. He was a Defense Attaché in Dakar Senegal. His last assignment was Chief of Staff Camp Butler in Okinawa. He passed away on March 18, 2021. He was Executive Officer from 1978 to 1979. I still have his yearbook, Brickley was the Commanding Officer. He left before the Camp Fuji fire.

He was also a Vietnam vet, and received a Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Legion Of Merit and Defense Superior Service Medal.
